Clinical Nutrition & Wellness

Rapid Triage for Hypovitaminosis D in GCC Populations

25-Hydroxy Vitamin D is the primary circulating form and established clinical indicator of somatic vitamin D reserves. Despite intense regional sunshine, vitamin D deficiency (<20 ng/mL) is endemic across the UAE and GCC due to indoor lifestyles and sun-avoidance. Rapid point-of-care quantification enables immediate supplementation titration.

Total 25-OH D

D2 & D3 Measurement

Measures both ergocalciferol (D2) and cholecalciferol (D3) metabolites, reflecting dietary intake, cutaneous synthesis, and supplementation.

  • Broad clinical spectrum: 10 to 100 ng/mL
  • Monoclonal competitive antibody design
  • Essential for calcium & bone health
High Prevalence

Endocrine & Immune Deficits

Chronic deficiency is strongly correlated with osteopenia, osteoporosis, immune vulnerability, chronic musculoskeletal fatigue, and mood disorders.

  • Ideal for executive wellness packages
  • Directs precise vitamin D3 dosing
  • Monitors oral & injectable therapy
Semi-Quantitative

Included Visual Color Card

Color comparison card allows instant clinical categorization: Deficient (<10 ng/mL), Insufficient (10–30 ng/mL), or Sufficient (30–100 ng/mL).

  • Results ready in 10 minutes
  • Single fingerstick blood drop
  • CE-IVD and ISO 13485 certified

Standard Operating Procedure

4-Step Bedside Protocol for Vitamin D Readout

Rapid point-of-care protocol designed for wellness centers, primary clinics, and endocrinology practices.

1

Blood Collection

Disinfect puncture site. Prick fingertip with sterile lancet and draw 1 drop (approx. 20 µL) of capillary whole blood using the calibrated capillary dropper.

2

Specimen Dispensing

Transfer the whole blood specimen directly into the circular sample well (S) of the test cassette without introducing bubbles.

3

Buffer Application

Add 2 drops of assay buffer immediately into the sample well (S) to lyse erythrocytes and mobilize vitamin D antigens along the membrane.

4

Color Card Readout

Read results at 10 minutes under bright lighting. Compare the intensity of the Test line (T) against the included color reference card.

Visual Readout Guide

Semi-Quantitative Result Interpretation

Evaluate the test line intensity against the color card provided in each kit box.

Deficiency & Insufficiency Tiers

Clinical tiers indicating need for therapeutic supplementation.

Deficient (<10 ng/mL)
High-intensity line. Directs therapeutic high-dose D3 therapy.
Insufficient (10 – 30 ng/mL)
Moderate band. Directs maintenance supplementation regimen.

Sufficiency & Quality Validation

Healthy baseline ranges and quality control criteria.

Sufficient (30 – 100 ng/mL)
Light line matching the 30–100 ng/mL card band. Adequate stores.
Invalid (No C Line)
Absence of Control line invalidates test. Discard and retest.
